Kutler's five goal performance in the Patriot League Tournament established a new Patriot League Tournament record. He scored three times in Colgate's 3-2 win over Army. He contributed another goal in Colgate's 3-1 win over Loyola and netted the lone goal for Colgate in their 1-1 tie at the conclusion of double-overtime with American in the Patriot League Tournament final. Colgate then prevailed 5-4 in a penalty kick shootout to secure the Patriot League Championship and the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.  

The Raiders claim its first Patriot League title since the 2011 campaign and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the sixth time.  Colgate will learn their opponent in the NCAA Tournament when the tournament pairings are announced on Monday at 1 p.m. 


College Soccer News - National Team Of The Week - Week Ending November 6, 2016

Andre Shinyashiki - Sophomore - Forward - Denver Shinyashiki scored twice to lead the Pioneers to a 2-1 come from behind win over a very competitive Portland team. He converted a header from four yards out after receiving a cross from Karsten Hanlin and sent a shot into the back of the frame from sixteen yards out after making a move to create the space he needed to score with defender Graham Smith contributing the assist. Denver closed out regular season play with a 15-0-2 overall record.  
Albert Ruiz - Junior - Forward - FGCU Ruiz scored twice to play a key role in FGCU's 3-2 win over Lipscomb. Ruiz leads the country in goals scored to date having placed the rock into the back of the net a total of nineteen times year to date. The Eagles improve to 13-3-2 and advance to the ASUN Championship Final next Saturday. 
Eric Lynch - Senior - Forward - Wright State  Lynch placed a shot into the back of the left side of the net from thirty yards out and assisted on sophomore midfieler Jackson Dietrich's insurance goal to help Wright State top Valparaiso 2-0 to improve to 11-5-2 overall with a 7-1-1 mark in Horizon League play. Lynch has a total of six goals so far and six assists. Wright State clinced the Horizon League regular season title outright for the first time ever. 
Stuart Holthusen - Junior - Forward - Akron Holthusen had a very productive week. He scored twice including the game-winning goal in overtime to lead Akron over Grand Canyon 3-2. Holthusen also found the back of the net twice to power the Zips past Western Michigan 3-0. Akron improves to 9-5-4 overall with a 1-1-3 mark in Mid-American Conference play. 
Lewis Suddick - Freshman - Midfielder - Butler Suddick has been a difference maker this year for Butler. He scored twice to help power the Bulldogs to a 2-1 win over Xavier. Suddick has netted eleven goals so far this year and contributed two assists.Butler improves to 11-5-1 with a 6-3-0 mark in Big East Conference play. The victory over Xavier secures the number two seed in the conference tournament for the Bulldogs and a bye into the tournament semifinals.  
Dale Ludwig - Senior - Midfielder - American  Ludwig converted a header from just outside the six yard box off a corner kick served in by Joe Iraola. He also decisively drove a header into the back of the frame out of a corner kick put in play by teammate Danny Kaiser to lead American to a 3-1 win over Lehigh in a Patriot League contest. American head coach Todd West stated, "Dale (Ludwig) showed tonight why he should be this year's PL Player of the Year." American improved to 10-5-4 overall and claimed the Patriot League Regular Season Title with a 7-1-1 mark in league play. 
Jullian Gressel - Senior - Midfielder - Providence Gressel earns a repeat nod as a member of the College Soccer News National Team of the Week. He is a playmaker and impact player who netted the lone goal of the evening when he alertly placed a loose ball into the back of the net to give the Friars the edge they needed to top a game St. John's side 1-0. The goal was Gressel's eleventh of the season and fifth game-winner. The Friars have won eight in a row to improve to 12-5-0 with a 7-2-0 mark in Big East Conference action. 
Jakob Strandsater - Sophomore - Midfielder - Radford Strandsater scored twice and assisted on teammate Michael Walsh's goal to power Radford past UNC Asheville 3-0 in a Big South Conference contest. Strandsater has a total of five goals and six assists year to date. The Highlanders improve to 13-3-1 overall with a 7-1-0 mark in conference play. Radford has now won three consecutive Big South Regular Season Titles. 
Zeiko Lewis - Senior - Midfielder - Boston College Lewis played a key role in two Boston College wins in the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. He scored both of Boston College's goals in their 2-2 tie with Virginia Tech and converted his penalty kick in the penalty kick shootout in which the Eagles prevailed to advance. He also netted the lone goal in Boston College's 1-0 upset win over North Carolina in the Quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. Boston College improves to 8-7-2 overall. 
Tim Kubel - Junior - Defender - Louisville Kubel was solid on both sides of the ball.  He was a key part of a Louisville defense that shutout Virginia 1-0. He also skillfully placed a shot just inside the left post from twenty-three yards out to net the game-winning goal for the Cardinals. Louisville improves to 10-3-5 overall and advances to the semi-final round of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament. 
Jimmy Fiscus - Junior - Defender - Michigan State Fiscus' diving header of the defection of teammate Ryan Sierakowski shot produced what proved to be the game-winner for the Spartans who topped Penn State 2-1 in the first ever Big Ten Tournament game played at DeMartin Stadium. Fiscus was also part of a solid Michigan State defense that limited Penn State to only one shot on goal. The Spartans improve 13-4-1 and advance to the semin-final round of the Big Ten Tourney.  
Liam McNally - Senior - Defender - South Florida  McNally along with goalkeeper Spasoje Stefanovic among others was part of a tenacious South Florida defense that contained a very good Temple attack to secure a 1-0 shutout. Freshman Luis Garza netted the lone goal of the evening for South Florida. The Bulls improve to 9-6-2 overall with a 6-1-0 mark in American Althletic Conference action.  
John Wendt - Junior - Goalkeeper - Air Force Wendt recorded six saves in goal while anchoring a very solid Air Force defense that shutout a very competitive Seattle side 1-0. Junior midfielder Trey Pujats scored the lone goal of the contest for the Falcons who improve to 12-6-1 with a 6-3-1 mark in WAC play.
